Groundwater Discharge Permits
Tess Van Gorder will provide a groundwater discharge permitting overview to cut through some of the jargon and complexity of the permit. Potential future permit changes will be discussed based on changes to other agricultural processing permits.

Tess Van Gorder
Tess Van Gorder is a Conservation and Regulatory Relations Specialist at Michigan Farm Bureau. She works with farmers, government agencies, non-governmental organizations and universities on environmental issues and solutions such as agricultural film plastic recycling, energy, ecosystem services markets, and groundwater discharge permitting. In addition, Van Gorder supports the Michigan Manure Hauler Certification Program and the development of Farmer-Led Watershed Groups in the Saginaw River Watershed. Tess previously worked at ENGIE Insight, an energy and sustainability management firm out of St. Paul, Minnesota on natural gas procurement.
